The Year of Connection

I had a sudden urge to post a page with the heading “2010″ It has a certain ring to it…sounds like it’s going to be an amazing year with lots of beautiful experiences.

I haven’t posted here for a while as we are currently renovating the house which is taking up a lot of time! The house is going to look amazing when it is finished but a lot of hard work needs to be done. Right now the builder is inside doing all the knocking down of walls – so grateful for that!!

So when I look back on 2009, I realise it has been a stepping stone to the next step. Actually every year has been like that. No year can stand alone, each all part of the the bigger picture! I think life is like that. And as long as we realise that life is about taking small steps one step at a time, we know we’re on the right track. There are no mistakes, only lessons to be learnt and if we don’t learn them the lessons keep coming back!

So this year, I’m going to be kinder to myself, to accept that I am where I am but also that I can be wherever I want to be! I just need to decide

Just heading off on a bit of a tangent…last night I was on Facebook and I came across my long lost brother who I hadn’t seen or talked to for 10 years!!! I was SO SO rapped to see him on there and the feeling was mutual. So we ended up having a good gas bag for ages, catching up on lost time which led me to creating a photo album of our whanau – just for him. He cried as I knew he would.

The beauty of connections and relationships. It’s what its all about really. So that’s why this year for me is going to be 2010 – the year of connection. I like that, it makes sense to me.
